As of spring 2019, there will be a new international school opening in Fujisawa, Kanagawa known as Nobile Kids Shonan development by the well-established Souei Corporation. The school is within a 5-minute walk from Tsujido station. We are currently looking for reliable staff to join our team as of mid-March for paid training and lesson prep.
The hours are flexible and can be discussed at the time of the interview. This school will be open Monday-Saturday with various classes/shifts between 8am to 7pm.
Our students will range from ages 2 years old to 9 years old. Experience in teaching and/or child-care/child-development is not required, but any experience is always a plus. We do ask that you enjoy and feel comfortable working with children. Japanese is not a 100% requirement, but knowledge of it can be helpful, in various situations.
Typical duties of the staff will be preparing a lesson from the textbook provided, preparing supplemental material, possible diaper/ clothing changes, singing and dancing and playing with the children, eating lunch with the children, cleaning/decorating your own classroom(materials provided by school), helping other teacher and staff when needed, and interacting with parents about their child and their child’s progress.
