Hello, dear readers. How much do you know about the attractions of Chiba? I am sure you know about the famous commercial facilities, and you may have actually visited some of them.

In this issue, we would like to introduce how the rent situation in Chiba compares to Tokyo, commercial complexes that you should know about in Chiba, and places where you can relax and enjoy nature!

Advantages of Living in Chiba

If you live alone, there may not be many places to live in Chiba. As a general rule of thumb, the further you are from the city center, the lower the rent will be.

Consider, for example, the bell curve.

The highest is around Minato Ward in Tokyo. And the further east or west you go, the flatter the rents become, as indicated by the bell curve.

This is the image I have of Chiba, and if you look at real estate agents in Japan, it more or less reflects reality.

Chiba’s Commercial Establishments to Recommend

With Chiba's low cost of living, there are still plenty of things to do in the area.

Below is a list of places we are sure you will enjoy!

Tokyo Disneyland

Although it is called Tokyo Disneyland, it is actually located in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture.

You should also know that the "land" of Tokyo Disneyland includes the following.

-World Bazaar

-Adventureland

-Westernland

-Critter Country

-Fantasyland

-Toontown

-Tomorrowland

Prices vary depending on the time of day and day of the week, but range from 7,900 yen to 10,900 yen for adults. For access, take the Keiyo Line or Musashino Line and get off at JR Maihama Station.

Makuhari Messe

Makuhari Messe is a large complex (*a place that contains a variety of stores such as food stores, theaters, movie theaters, and general merchandise stores) adjacent to Makuhari Beach.

It is about a 5-minute walk from Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the JR Keiyo Line.

This facility also hosts concerts by world-famous people, making it a fairly large event facility.

Lalaport

Located in Tokyo Bay, Lalaport houses more than 440 speciality brand stores. They include:

-Tommy Hilfiger

-Krispy Kreme

-Avirex

-Uniqlo

-Toys R Us

-Stussy

-H&M

-Toho Cinemas

And much, much more!

Access to Lalaport is easy. It is just across the street from Funabashi Racecourse and a stone's throw from Minami Funabashi Station.

Recommended Nature Spots in Chiba

{{1}}

In Tokyo, opportunities to get in touch with nature are limited, such as in large parks, but in Chiba Prefecture, there are a variety of places to enjoy nature.

If you are going to live in Chiba, it would be nice to enjoy these places.

Funabashi Andersen Park : Funabashi City

Funabashi Andersen Park was created with the hope that children will grow up strong in nature, that they will cherish their friends, and that adults will be able to enjoy themselves as if they were children again.

The reason for the park's distinctive name is that Odense City in Denmark, the birthplace of H.C. Andersen, the author of children's stories, is a sister city of Funabashi City, where this park is located.

If you live nearby, it would be a good idea to check out the information about the park!

Keisei Rose Garden : Yachiyo City

At the rose garden in Yachiyo City, it seems that you can see roses that have received awards in various competitions around the world. The garden has as many as 1,600 varieties of roses, and there seems to be a wide variety of ways to present them.

On Instagram, it seems to have 40,000 followers. If you live in Chiba, there is no reason not to visit one of the best rose gardens in the world!

Sakura Furusato Plaza : Sakura City

Do you know Sakura Furusato Plaza, where big events are held in April, July and October?

The windmills that make you feel as if you are in Holland and the flower fields that surround them will soothe your soul.

Soft-serve ice cream made from local milk and tea leaves is also popular, and a visit here alone will make for a very satisfying and peaceful day.

Near this plaza, there seems to be a beautiful path surrounded by a fantastic bamboo grove named Hiyodorizaka. It is said that the path has not changed since the Edo period, so if you like Japanese culture and live in Chiba, you should definitely visit there.
